About Randime

Randime was built in Austin, TX by software engineer Colin Hemphill.

Colin hosts a show called The AniMonday Podcast with his wife Kayla. On each episode, they randomly select an anime that they’ll have to watch and then discuss on the next episode. They used to accomplish the randomization using the "Random" button on the Crunchyroll homepage, but after a UI overhaul the button was removed.

Front end

Randime is built with cutting edge front end technology.

Back end

The back end relies on Kitsu, an open-source anime database and content discovery platform. Its accompanying API is a powerful way to access a large selection of anime and display details about them.
